The Hampton reach of the Thames provides a magnificent area for river sailing with a wide stretch of water running west to east and an open parkland area to the south. The club house situation is unique being sited on an island in the Thames reached by hand operated chain ferry. From the large club room, bar and balcony there are fantastic panoramic views of the picturesque wide stretch of river.
After sailing during the summer series (March to October) tea of sandwiches and cake is available. Sailing in the Frostbite series (October to December) is followed by serving of a snack lunch. The licensed bar is open following sailing until early evening during the summer series and until mid afternoon during the Frostbite series. Male and female changing rooms with hot showers are provided within the clubhouse.
Berthing space on the island is at a premium and therefore priority is given to boats that regularly sail. However, we have recently acquired adjacent riverside land which will give added flexibility for the allocation of extra berthing space
