The Lakes Distillery is ½ mile away, offers tours, is noted for the food – including afternoon tea – it serves in its café & bistro and their Vodka just voted best independent Vodka in the World!

If you want posh visit Armathwaite Hall 1 mile away and book a spa treatment, take a dip in the pool or have afternoon tea.

An ice cream van visits the site regularly during camping week-ends. There are some great walks on the doorstep.
